Had a beautiful morning and a good turn out of painters at Indian Lake this morning. I painted this scene over by the dog park. I'm also posting a painting I recently finished using gouache, which seems to be the fashionable paint to use nowadays. But I really struggled with it because I'm so used to oils.

They are both nice paintings but I think they both look like oil paintings. You may feel like you are struggling with gouache but the result is REALLY good. Sometimes gouache paintings all tend to look a bit alike and I have noticed that with some of mine but yours looks very individual and just like your oil paintings. Your colors are really natural looking and I think that can be harder with gouache than oil. Well done!!
