Annual Potluck Sept. 8th at Noon with morning painting at Cherokeep Park

Hello All, We’ll be taking a bit of a break this week and next but then we’ll paint at Cherokee Park in the morning (about 8 am start) on Thursday, September 8th, to be followed by a pot luck lunch at Marla Brenner’s house, which is nearby. Please note: Cherokee Park is different and separate from Cherokee Marsh Park. Don’t go to the wrong one. I’m attaching a note that came from Marla, followed by a map of the painting area. Everyone is welcome to bring dishes to the house for refrigeration anytime after 7AM. I will have long table under tent for lunch at about noon. Please bring a chair. I will also provide plates, cups, utensils and napkins. There will be water, coffee, tea and lemonade to drink. Bring anything else you might want. If there are enough people wanting a model I can ask Chloe again. She is having a busy summer and the date may not fit her schedule. But we can try. Please text me if you are interested. Donald Park Outing

Here's my two paintings that I started at Donald Park.  Looking forward to painting on the Lake Mendota lakefront tomorrow.

  

Painting at Warner Park Beach/Boat Launch 8am Thursday August 18th

Our next painting outing will be on August 18th (Thursday) at the Warner park beach area on Lake Mendota (not the lagoon area), in the morning (about 8 am start). There’s a parking lot on the north end, by the beach or if you want to paint more by the boat launching area we can park on the street. The lot by the boat launch is reserved for cars with boat trailers. I’ll probably head for the boat launch area. I believe there is a restroom by the beach area. Tom Gilbert
