Cherokee Park and Lake Redstone

I really appreciate the constructive advice the group offers. I threw some paint as this and now there are a couple spots I like. I am also posting the painting I came home with from Lake Redstone. Should I attempt to take it further or call it a good 4 hour painting?

    I think your reeds turned out great. Sort of three dimensional. For your waterfall painting my thought is you need an area of focus with some sharp edges. As is, it all seems equally soft. But should be easy to fix, right?

    Yes is should be. I just don't come home with something I'm happy with often, lol. There is much I will do here.

    I like the waterfall a lot. If you plan to go back to the lake, you might want to take it back to see if you could play a bit more with the values/colours of the water. But if not, I think, it is a very good etude as is.
