Fake Winter Painting

This is a painting I did at Indian Lake on February 22nd, so it must be a winter painting.  But it was 68 degrees with no snow.  So I'm calling it a fake winter painting (where have I heard that before?).  I may have got a bit sloppy with this one but I think it somewhat captures the atmosphere of the day.

  1. Tom, it's not sloppy at all, it is a very good etude, very fresh and convincing. I really like it!

  2. I think it looks great, Tom. Like the tree line in the back a lot and it really has a sense of depth and space. Like the knife work in the foreground, too. It was fun to be out painting with you again!

  3. I love all the contrast and saturation. Color is hard to find in Feb. Very Nice
