DCPAP Outing - June 29 - Indian Lake County Park

Our next DCPAP plein air outing will be on Wednesday evening (about 5:30 start) on June 29th at Indian Lake Park.  This can be our summer outing at Indian Lake and then I’ll probably also do a fall outing there.  The primary meeting area will be the park’s main parking lot or along the road leading into that lot.  There is a restroom and shelter there.  I’m hoping for a scenic, cloudy sky, to add another Indian Lake sky painting to my collection.

Next DCPAP Outing - June 16 - Pheasant Branch

Our next DCPAP outing will be on Thursday (June 16) in the evening (about 5 pm start) at the Pheasant Branch Conservancy.  

The Pheasant Branch park area we’ll paint at is right off Pheasant Branch Road, north of Middleton.  There are two parking areas along the road.  Go to the northern one (surrounded by fields) not the southern one (see map).  There are some areas to set up right by the parking lot or we can walk in a ways near the base of Fredericks Hill, where there are some good painting options.  There are no restrooms. 

There are really nice views from atop Fredericks hill but the path going up there is winding and longer than you'd think it would be.

Marshall Park

We managed to get through the morning at Marshall Park without any rain.  Here's my sailboat/sky painting from there, plus I'm posting another recent painting ... just because I like it. I'd entitle this as "Drifting By".
